Simon has taught for 23 years in secondary education in three different local authorities. Having helped lead his school to achieve an Ofsted Outstanding judgement, in 2015 Simon took the rare opportunity to open a new inner-city school as Vice Principal. Despite incredibly challenging conditions, the school was rated ‘Good’ in its first Ofsted inspection with recognition of ‘outstanding’ pastoral support and student development.
The school is now significantly over-subscribed and undergoing a large expansion. In September 2022, Simon will take up the role of Headteacher in a large and successful Staffordshire secondary school. Simon is a Governor at one of the trusts academies and has held this position for the last 5 years.
